Ms. Dimple Varma started T& G Retail in 2007, with an eye on emerging domestic resort wear market. What began as a fun project with one store in Goa took wing and grew significantly with stores in UB city mall, Bangalore and Emporio, Delhi, to emerge as a premium resort wear brand.

Ms. Varma's foray into fashion began at age 17 as a fashion model. The five years she spent in the industry piqued her interest in fashion and lifestyle. By age 22 she joined the family business of garment exports.

She went to London School of Fashion to do a course in Marketing, Product and Fashion forecasting. On her return she changed the face of the family business from a regular garment exporter into a company known for expertise in production of high-end quality garments. Under her stewardship, the business grew into one of the most successful garment companies in south with an impressive client list comprising Roberto Cavalli, Stella McCartney, Kenzo, IKKS and Catamini to name a few.
