Ganesh Sonawane’s story is one of vision, determination, and the desire to make life easier for others. As the Co-founder and CEO of Frido, Ganesh has built a brand that puts comfort and innovation at the heart of everything it does.
A mechanical engineer from the National Institute of Technology, Calicut, Ganesh began his career at Bajaj Auto, where he spent five years mastering the art of product development and testing. These years gave him hands-on experience and a deep understanding of creating solutions that work in real life. But something was missing—he wanted to use his skills to solve everyday problems and help people live better lives.
That desire led to the birth of Frido – Freedom to do more; a brand dedicated to enhancing comfort in the simplest yet most meaningful ways. Ganesh and his team started small, focusing on their first product - wheelchair and then other products like cushions, insoles, each carefully designed to make daily activities—like sitting, sleeping, and walking—more comfortable. With a clear focus on affordability, accessibility, quality, and innovation, Frido quickly grew into a trusted name in ergonomic solutions.
