Rahul Kothari is the Chief Operating Officer at Razorpay. With over 21 years of experience in both consultancy and technology in leading companies, Rahul comes with a strategic and analytical mind that is geared towards delivering growth and agility for companies. As a COO at Razorpay, Rahul is focused on further building the company as a customer-centric organisation, providing a more integrated and seamless customer experience to various customer segments and businesses. His role entails guiding the company’s business strategies to achieve sustained and exponential revenue growth across all businesses and revenue lines, in India and Malaysia. His efforts are also dedicated to identifying new opportunities to enhance customer experience and amplify the efficiency and synergy of the internal systems, processes, and business structures. With an ability to approach business from a creative point of view, Rahul’s strength lies in building a highly inclusive work culture that ensures team members with an ecosystem conducive enough to create, build, and thrive and thus enhance employee productivity. He also leads initiatives to strengthen partnerships with external stakeholders, establishing Razorpay at the forefront of innovation in the continually expanding ecosystem. Before joining Razorpay, Rahul was the Chief Business Officer at PayU where he played a critical role in making their payments business profitable. He has also worked with leading global companies like WNS Global Services and The Boston Consulting Group, where he was instrumental in advising businesses across the US, Europe, Australia, and India on their business strategies. He has also had a successful tech career at Symantec where he was responsible for benchmarking and improving the performance of their products. Rahul holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Indian School of Business. He has also completed his B.Tech from IIT Kanpur. When not at work, Rahul enjoys trekking and uses the time to meditate, introspect, read about physics, and spend quality time with family.
