Lalit Agarwal is a retail entrepreneur, and founded V-Mart in 2002, pioneering the concept of value fashion retailing in Tier II, III and IV towns in India. In his stewardship, V-Mart has grown to a store footprint of 216 stores in 171 towns across 17 states. As an acknowledgement of his visionary zeal and entrepreneurial success, he was awarded by Indian Retailer as 'Retail Leader of the Year in 2018'.

Further, climbing from strength to strength, V-Mart has won several accolades and prestigious awards including Transforming India through Retail Award, recognised by the Ministry of Textiles.

As a leading industry voice, he holds the role of the Chairman of Retailers Association of India (RAI) for the Northern Region. In 2017, he was also nominated for the NitiAayog’s Champions of Change initiative by the Government of India.

Lalit earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Bombay University, and Diploma in Financial Management from NarseeMonjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai.
