Amrish Kumar is an entrepreneur in the fashion retail and media industries. Currently he is the CEO of Ritu Kumar.

In the last decade Amrish has fashioned a niche retailer into a scalable fashion house driving the brand growth to 7X over this period. He has designed the expansion of one of the few luxury/premium retailers that has acquired scale in India and started overseas expansion for the RITU KUMAR brand.

He started in the merchandising and supply chain, redeveloping product lines and sourcing to enable scale. Subsequently, he has built and managed many of the verticals in the business, including retail growth, finance strategy, marketing, IT, e-commerce and product strategy for the company.

In 2013 he became CEO and raised the first private equity capital for the business with Everstone Capital and the company has been growing 25%+ year on year.

Prior to his MBA Amrish graduated with a BSc (Hons.) degree in Economics in 1999 from Bristol University post, which he worked with Kotak Securities and HDFC Bank in their e-commerce project team.

Other than his professional attributes, Amrish is a Fellow of the Aspen Foundation. He has also founded Artly, an educational initiative to expose youth in marginalized communities to great cinema, with a view to enhance their learning in ethics, responsibility and community.
