Nicobar launched in 2016 and was born from Raul’s vision of building a lifestyle brand rooted in Indian culture and history. His liberal arts education gave him the tools he needed to incorporate creative thinking into his work, while his work ethic was shaped by 15 years in investment banking and private equity. His first 20+ years in investment banking at Goldman Sachs and General Atlantic in both New York and London taught him the importance of mentorship, culture and long-term thinking - which have been the cornerstones of building Nicobar.
