Ajoy is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Titan’s Jewellery business that houses iconic brands such as Tanishq, Mia, Zoya and CaratLane. The Jewellery business today has a network strength of 500+ exclusive retail outlets in 220+ town with a strong digital presence for all the brands and an extensive manufacturing and geographically dispersed sourcing network in India. He is on the Board of Caratlane Trading Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Titan company ltd. Prior to this role, he was responsible for Strategy & New Business Incubation at Titan for 5 years and was tasked with nurturing and launching Titan’s new businesses Fragrances (Brand SKINN) & Indian Ethnic Women’s Wear (Retail brand TANEIRA). Ajoy has also led watch business within Titan, responsible for driving P&L of domestic & international businesses (Titan Biz unit). His role included expansion into Asia while profitably growing the business managing a portfolio of product brands: Titan, Raga, Xylys, Zoop, etc and a Retail brand: World of Titan, India’s largest chain of specialty watch stores.
He has lived the life of an Intrapreneur: besides launching fragrances and sarees, he has a successful record of incubating new businesses for Titan, including HELIOS, a multi-brand premium retail chain; FASTRACK sunglasses, accessories; and International Licensed brands. As a leader, Ajoy has led large and diverse teams across geographies, acting as a mentor for many people in his team and for many managers within the Tata group.
